I got a follow up email from Godox again apologizing for not including the 80D and more thorough instructions on the upgrade. Thanks, yes, I researched the *.RAR file and will need WinZip when I decide to follow through. I think the Chinese on the two-page instruction sheet says, 'Download files at own risk and may Bluebird of happiness be sitting on shoulder when you open same' (lol). On a Mac you might need to download the 'unarchiver' app from the app store. Remember, though, that the ability to switch to the -F (Fuji) and -O (micro four-thirds) versions of Godox triggers was only added recently with firmware updates. Then I got a two-page 'instruction' for other downloads. Each of the Adorama listings also has links to the other versions. Hi Bruce and, as a follow up, got a letter from Godox saying that it was NOT compatible, but that the engineer (sic) was working on it.

There seems to be two possible updates in the Godox page, but once downloaded, they have no instructions on how to open a *.rar file. So could the solution be a case of a firmware update for the XPro-C, that you haven't installed?Р”Р„rizona Bruce edited this topic 38 months ago. I get it that the 80D might have a different on-camera menu (e.g., it groups all the flash groups (ABCDE) as opposed to being able to select just the one flash), but this is annoying as hell. When I switched to an 80D I found that I could no longer control the remote from the camera menu, but had to use the remote unit (I have the larger remote unit), which is kind of inconvenient in concerts and dark situations. I bought a Godox V860ii for my Canon 60D and loved it, especially being able to control the remote functions directly from the 60D menu.
